Garment Care With Steamery [AD]

I'll admit I’m partial to minimalist brands, particularly those who embody Scandinavian design principles but that isn't all that Steamery Stockholm has to offer. Today I'm sharing some useful garment care products that are both efficient and easy to use. They’re designed to prolong the life of your clothes, which will minimise your laundry and as a result, save you time and money in the long run. CLOTHING & SHOE MIST

This is biotechnology in a bottle. The Steamery Clothing & Shoe Mist is a gentle, lightly perfumed scented (bergamot and oak) spray with active bacteria culture that helps eliminate unwanted odours. Spray the inside of your shoes to combat odour and/or spray the mist directly onto your clothes for an instant refresh. The mist can be used on all textiles that can withstand a small amount of water. Use as required.

CIRRUS NO. 2 STEAMER

You know this, frequently washing and ironing your clothes wears the fibres down. Your favourite pieces begin to look worn and from my experience, you no longer feel good wearing them. The solution to extending the life of your garments is steaming. It’s an easy, sustainable option perfect for items that you can’t wash regularly or at all, and, great for refreshing your clothes in-between washes.

I tested the Cirrus No. 2 Steamer on my silk shirt and I must say it heats up pretty quickly. It’s designed to travel with you too and comes with a handy heat resistant storage bag which doubles up as a mitten while using the steamer. I love me some double duty! The steamer is gentle enough to use on your delicates.

PILO FABRIC SHAVER

The quickest and easiest way to remove pilling is to use a fabric shaver and this little gadget brings me so much joy! Really! What I like about the Pilo is that it’s rechargeable and small. It's a nifty little thing that will rescue your favourite jumpers from pilling which you (or I)! might've thrown out or donated in the past. The fabric shaver is powerful yet gentle and works on all kinds of materials, such as wool, cotton and synthetic fibres.
