Positive Quotes | Through Turbulent Times

Updated: Apr 21, 2020

I hope you're staying safe and looking after yourselves? The coronavirus as you know has rapidly turned into a pandemic and I'm sure many of us are feeling anxious during this global crisis. It’s become an increasingly worrying and trying time for all of us and in this period of great uncertainty, I'm finding it difficult to navigate too.

All we can do is take it day by day and I hope that by following government's advice we can reduce the spread of the virus and resume to some kind of ‘normality‘ as soon as possible. Perhaps we’ll have to adjust to a new normal, whatever that may be - I don’t know, but, my thoughts are with those who’ve been affected by the virus and the people working tirelessly to care for them.

I can’t help but think that the coronavirus is nature’s way of forcing us to slow down and be more present. I think now that our fast paced world as we know it is suddenly on pause, it's a good time to practice self care. Here's a reminder of what we can do instead of worrying:

Meditate and/or pray

Call and/or Facetime loved ones

Exercise at home (personally I like Sarah Beth Gentle Yoga for Scoliosis)

Try a new recipe

Listen to podcasts (Current favourite is On Purpose by Jay Shetty)

Perhaps you could start that hobby or passion project you've been meaning to get round to...

I’m forever saving quotes to my Pinterest account so I thought it might be quite therapeutic to create my own and if they help anyone else in the process, well that's a bonus. Take a screenshot, save and/or share these if you think they will (in a small way) help you or your loved ones.

I have no idea how long this is going to last but I do know that we’re going to get through this together.

Please stay safe and only seek advice from reliable sources such as the World Health Organisation and the NHS. Abi Dare of These Four Walls blog has written a useful post on how to help or find help.
