Recipe | Turmeric Papaya Anti Inflammatory Smoothie

I've been feeling a little run down lately so I thought I'd share a nutritious smoothie recipe I've been making this summer - it's great for getting those all important vitamins in. The recipe includes turmeric spice which is believed to have a multitude of health benefits due to its' yellow pigment, curcumin. Papaya is also a superfood with benefits such as antioxidant effects and, much like my peanut butter 'nice cream, this recipe is proof that healthy doesn't have to be boring!
1 large banana, sliced (fresh or frozen)
2 cups papaya
2 cups almond milk (or milk of choice)
2 tbsp honey
1/2 to 1 tsp ground turmeric
*Optional add one scoop protein powder of choice (vanilla would work best).
1) Chop and place all the ingredients into a blender and blend together for a couple minutes until smooth.
2) Pour, serve and enjoy!
